“A Brief Walk Through Time” ® is a series of guided walking history/heritage tours through Leavesden Country Park which was the former site of the Leavesden Asylum/Hospital, St Pancras Workhouse/School, Canadian Hospital/Kaki University, Springfield School and the Abbots Langley Hospital.
These popular walks also include the Heritage Trail whose sculptures recognizes the Leavesden Asylum/Hospital, Leavesden Aerodrome, Rolls Royce factory and the Leavesden Film Studios, now Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (NOT WATFORD).
These 2-to-3-hour long walks are led by one of the volunteer members of the Leavesden Hospital History Association and are suitable for 11 y.o. or older.
We meet at 11:45am, for a 12 noon start at the Leavesden HIVE Heritage Centre located just off of College Road in the north side of Leavesden Country Park next to the Woodlands Café and One YMCA buildings. The nearest post code is WD5 0NX.

We have a had another very successful summer of history walks which were all lead by Emma Frost and based on the walks created by Martin T Brooks.
Over 250 people attended the walks in 2022 and we will be scheduling
more for 2023.
